To authenticate requests, include your API token in the Authorization header. You can get your API token from the Generect app settings.
The Token prefix is required. A raw token without the prefix will not authenticate.

Live and test keys

Every account can hold two kinds of key, and the key decides how the API behaves. There is no separate host and no separate base URL — both go to https://api.generect.com.
A response served in test mode carries X-Generect-Mode: test. Assert on that header in your integration tests — it is the quickest way to catch a test key that reached production, or a live key that reached a load test. See Test mode for magic inputs, coverage and the going-live checklist.
